So my immediate association with Mini Vans are of course Moms. Mini vans are boring, and frumpy and uncool. (Not that I think Moms aren't cool...) In high school we played a game in English where we went around the room and said which car we thought personified each person in the class. When we got around to me, and some kid blurted out assuredly "She'd be a minivan!". I was flabbergasted! Offended!! I made fun of minivans! What! Me? I'm not a boring Mom!! My self confidence dropped three points after that stupid kid voiced his opinon...oh the memories of highschool.
Anyway, the point of this post is to praise Honda for their address of the uncool-image association with their car. This add captured my attention and made me laugh at the absurdity of a bad-ass van. The appeal to retro-vintage taste makes minivans seem more stylish. And Minivans are certainly economical and great for families so therefore I suppose they can be granted a cool factor. In the words of my Creative ad professor "You go Honda!"
